I am so glad that you have ...This is great Yasmeen! I am so glad that you have been enjoying your time here at UT and in the UT Lead program. The things you mentioned are exactly what college is about--learning to fend for yourself and take responsibility for not only your well-being, but your actions. You seem to have learned quite fast what this is all about, and although it is not always easy, it is a necessary part of like, but I think one that has its perks sometimes. You begin to come into your own as a true adult and learn how to stand on your own two feet with less and less help from your parents. They will always be there to support you, but "cutting the cord" is a natural part of life that everyone must go through and I am just happy that you have the UT Lead program to soften the blow for you and offer you support when it gets a little tough.
